You are where you’re at!

Truth Minute: You are where you’re at!

Where you are in life is a sum total of the choices you have made and how you have reacted to things that are out of your control. So if you feel like you should be further than where you are at this moment retrace your choices…the times you didn’t listen, the times when pride took over and the times when you thought you were the victim but really were the villain in your story. The good news is if you can change, learn from past mistakes and be more in tune with what God wants for you (instead of selfish ambition) He can redeem the time that was wasted in the consequences of your actions.

I know this to be true due to some changes I’ve had to make in my own life and how difficult it can be to go in a direction that is contrary to what is always done (especially as you get older). Now the question is how…again recognize that you, more than likely, are the culprit that is impeding your advancement! So look inward (tough pill to swallow)…next check your circle of influence, is everyone emotional yes men or women? Is everyone around you celebrating your dysfunction when things go wrong and silent when change takes place? Do you isolate yourself from the right people who will tell you the truth and have the authority to check you when you are off? Lastly do you have the “discipline” to stick with the change that you have made when your emotions say otherwise…as how we feel has gotten many of us into quite a bit of trouble and has blocked many a blessing from taking place.

Remember you are no further than where you are but that doesn’t mean that you can’t get to where you want to be in life.
